Pagara sees money as the decisive factor in polls
LAHORE: Chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F), Pir of Pagara, Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi, is wary of upcoming general elections as he doesn’t see them bringing about a change of faces in the Parliament, Geo News reported.

“I have a reason to fear bloodshed in the polls to come and subsequently I see Pakistan's problems aggravating big time”, said the spiritual leader of Hurs talking to media here at the residence of former adviser to prime minister, Chaudhry Zaheer Ahmed.

To a question, he said it was imperative for the government to replace the Election Commissioner of Sindh as he had failed to win the consensus of all the stakeholders.

Claiming the electoral horse-trading was in full swing in Sindh, the Pir of Pagara said this time around the buck would decide who raked in the winning number of ballots, thus they would also climb the bandwagon to ensure victory.

“The higher the bid the more the likelihood of your electoral success. If you have pots of money to throw in the polls you stand a chance of ending up in the houses, it seems, given the circumstances”, said Pagara.

Wrapping it up, Pir sahib said that it was his feeling that Sharif and Chaudhry brothers were interested in tacking all the Pakistan Muslim League factions together.
