According to Daily Mail, the Critics Choice Awards, originally planned for January 12, has been postponed to January 26, and the Oscar nominations announcement has been pushed to January 19.

Meanwhile, the BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills and the AFI Awards have also been canceled.

Amid these disruptions, notable attendees at the Critics Circle Awards included actor Adrien Brody, who was honored with the Best Actor award for his role in The Brutalist.

The film, which also won Best Film, follows a Hungarian Jewish architect navigating life in America after fleeing the Holocaust.

As per the publication, Brody arrived with designer and reported girlfriend Georgina Chapman, who turned heads in a metallic silver gown.

Other attendees included Succession star Kieran Culkin, who received the Best Supporting Actor award for A Real Pain, and Homeland actress Claire Danes, who debuted a striking dark brown hair color.

Moreover, Best Actress honors went to Marianne Jean-Baptiste for her performance in Hard Truths, while Carol Kane was named Best Supporting Actress for Between the Temples.

Additionally, director RaMell Ross received the Best Director award for his work on Nickel Boys.

As per the outlet’s claims, the fires in Los Angeles have led to widespread devastation, claiming lives, destroying homes, and displacing over 30,000 residents.
