Keegan-Michael Key reveals friendship status with Jordan Peele

Keegan-Michael Key, an American actor and comedian, sat down for an interview with People where he opened up about his current relationship with Jordan Peele.

He previously claimed that the two did not get the chance to see each other very often.

"Whenever we have an opportunity to see each other, we do. Whenever we have an opportunity,” Key began, "I certainly enjoy spending time with him, so when my travels take me to Los Angeles, he's usually one of the first calls that I make. I land, and I go, 'Hey buddy, we're in town,' and often we get to have dinner.”

The comedian continued, "Our relationship is like a good friend's relationship, where you pick up where you left off, or the little things that you shared in the past, you just go right back into it again. I look forward to seeing him in 2025."

The pair first came together for a collaboration on MADtv from Fox, after which they started their own comedy sketch series that ran from 2012 to 2015.

Despite going on to work in several projects afterwards, Key told People that their life had begun to move in different directions. “Our evolution, I think, is tied to both of what our desires are. His desire was to start exploring the horror genre, and my desire was to do more dramatic work like I had been trained in school.”

Both Key and Peele have several projects lined up, with the latter working on his fourth film after the wild success of its predecessors.
