Grant Ellis gets candid about his personal red flags and why maturity matters to him

'Bachelor' star spills the tea on what really turns him off in women

The former Bachelor star, Grant Ellis, has taken a jibe at women who do “drama" or "gossips.”

Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, the 31-year-old said, “In a situation like that, where any move you make is really pivotal, I think that me waiting until I had all the evidence and then making a decision was the best move on the chessboard. Get the facts and don't jump the gun.”

The day trader, who was on Jennifer "Jenn" Tran’s season of The Bachelorette, felt that any woman who gets involved in drama probably did not come on the show to look for their “forever” person like he did.

He quipped, “It's really easy for somebody to tell you what they want, but I think that actions speak louder than words.”

“I think that there's a certain maturity level that comes with wanting a family and wanting a long-lasting relationship, so I think that maturity was something that I looked for in these women. And if they're starting drama, or if they're gossiping, or if they're doing certain things, that just indicates a lack of maturity,” Ellis stated.

Mentioning a couple of other turnoffs, the former basketball player highlighted, “For me, a red flag is somebody who's too self-absorbed. I like when somebody's compassionate and somebody has a heart for other people because that's the way I am, so I feel like it has to mesh with how I feel. And then hygiene is a big thing for me, too!"

It is pertinent to mention that Grant Ellis left Tran’s season before hometowns, which was the 21st season of TheBachelorette, hoping that viewers can “get to know me more” on his season, which starts Monday, January 27, 2025.
