Nawaz Sharif condemns US drone strikes

LAHORE: Prime Minister in-waiting Nawaz Sharif has condemned US drone attacks in Pakistani territory.

In a statement, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief on Friday condemned the attacks and said that the strikes were not only violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty but also against international laws and UN charter.

The statement came a day after Pakistani Taliban withdrew ceasefire offer after an unmanned drone killed militia’s deputy chief Waliur Rehman in North Waziristan tribal region near Afghan border.
