Sajid Tarar, Pakistani-American leader of Muslims for Trump, on Saturday criticised Pakistan’s misplaced priorities, urging a stronger focus on education, technology, and AI to drive economic progress.

Speaking on the Geo News programme Jirga, Sajid said: “I am surprised, the most popular theory in Pakistan is not related to English or AI. I am seriously worried about it. What is your direction?”

Highlighting the importance of education and technology, he said: “Knowledge is a weapon. Why do you not focus on mathematics and English? Why do you not try to move forward through AI and the economy?”

Moving on to India, he said that New Delhi’s biggest weapons were its institutes of technology.

Without naming incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan, Trump’s close aide said: “An Oxford graduate raised the slogan of change and Naya Pakistan.” Slamming Khan, Sajid said that he claimed to have created a welfare state based on the Riasat-e-Madina model. He said that the PTI founder had sympathies with the TTP and the Taliban.

“Moving your direction towards the Taliban, he [PTI founder] showered dollars on Congressmen and US lobbies,” he added.

He maintained that there was no room for wars in 2025, adding that this was an era of economy and technology. Giving the example of Israel, he said that they focused on education after the Second World War, and now they were manipulating the entire world and controlling the US.

Responding to a question, Sajid said that Trump’s policies were not anti-Muslim but anti-terrorism and anti-conflict.

Trump had repeatedly said that his legacy should be as a “peacekeeper,” he said, adding that several people, like him, believe that the US president should be honoured with the Nobel Peace Prize.

He said that Trump was trying to resolve the Gaza and Ukraine conflicts.
