PESHAWAR: About four hundred families affected due to floods have been shifted to safer places and food items are being provided to them in Jala Bela, Bela Niko Khan, Mian Gujar and Islamabad Korona villages in Peshawar district.
Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has also directed the authorities to be ready for any eventuality.
He directed the authorities to ensure timely provision of information to the people of risky areas and concerned departments about the expected floods threats.
Senior Provincial Minister Sikandar Sherpao visited various areas in Charsadda district and directed the local administration to take immediate preventive steps in the wake of possible flood.
Protective bunds are being strengthened to protect these villages from further flood devastation by district authorities.
People living along the river have shifted to safer places in the area. (APP)
