Former AGP Ashtar Ausaf escapes attack

LAHORE: The former Advocate General Punjab, Ashtar Ausaf Saturday narrowly escaped when some dacoits opened fire on his vehicle in Garden Town area here, Geo News reported.

Police said some dacoits were busy in looting a woman, when Ashtar Ausaf’s police guards intervened, which triggered shooting by the dacoits.

DIG Operations Rai Tahir said that one bullet also hit the vehicle of Ashtar Ausaf, however, the former advocate general remained safe.

The dacoits after the firing fled away leaving behind their motorbike.

Police said they had arrested the criminal involved in this attack and there were 13 other cases registered against him.
