ISLAMABAD: Jail officials have rejected an application of former military dictator Gen (ret) Pervez Musharraf, seeking to host an Iftar dinner at his residence, which has been declared sub-jail.

Sources said, Musharraf has sought permission that he wanted to host an Iftar dinner in honour of his party leaders and friends.

However, dismissing the request, the jail officials told him that he could not be given permission for hosting the party, as he was a prisoner.
