ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration on Friday once again sprung into action and conducted raids in posh sectors of the city, sealing and fining several restaurants due to unhygienic conditions, expired food items, and pathetic cleanliness conditions in kitchens.
The ICT team headed by Assistant Commissioner Waqar Cheema conducted a raid in Sector F-7’s Hill View Hotel, sealing its kitchen and food store for using and selling expired and low quality items.
Furthermore, the renowned Kabuli Restaurant, famous for its ‘Kabuli Pulao’, in the same area was also raided by the ICT and sealed for use of substandard meat.
In addition, popular restaurant Roasters in the same sector, was fined by the ICT an amount of Rs. 50,000 for not keeping hygienic conditions in its kitchen.
Another restaurant in F-7, Ox & Grill Steak House was sealed by ICT for using expired and substandard items.
The ICT did not stop there and even sealed off a trendy ice-cream parlour for using poor quality fruits and other items in their ice-cream.
Meanwhile, in Islamabad’s F-6 sector, American Steak House was sealed by ICT for uncleanliness and not maintaining hygienic standards.
