Faisalabad: Two attackers, 1 arrestee killed in police mobile ambush

FAISALABAD: At least two attackers and an under arrest criminal were killed after a police mobile came under attack here on Saturday night, Geo News reported.

Sources said Ehtasham Bajwa, accused of kidnapping for ransom, was with the police when unknown gunmen suddenly intercepted the mobile giving rise to a encounter in which both sides exchanged fire at will.

According to police, two of the attackers and Bajwa were killed at the end of the gunfight, which also left a cop injured. The rest of the ambushers escaped, they added.

It is suspected that the attackers were Bajwa's accomplices who killed him for betrayal as he was leading the police to their hideouts.
