KARACHI: The Sindh Police has expressed qualms that up to five groups including Qingqi rickshaw, Saleem Chocolate and Shahid Bikak are likely to be behind recent attacks on traffic police in the city.
According to an internal report of Sindh Police obtained on Thursday by Geo News, banned Tehreek-e-Taliban and Qingqi rickshaw mafia were cited as possible culprits behind the attacks.
Saleem Chocolate and Shahid Bikak groups of ‘Lyari gang-war’ were also capable of carrying out the attacks, the report added.
Earlier in the day, police arrested three members of a 10-member gang allegedly linked to a proscribed organisation that the officials say was involved in attacks on police in New Town and Nazimabad areas of the metropolis.
