ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief, Imran Khan Tuesday renewed his resolve to continue his protest outside the Parliament House till Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif quits his office.
Addressing the protesters taking part in his party’s sit-in here, Imran Khan flanked by other PTI leaders, said Nawaz Sharif should not be in office during the investigation into the alleged rigging of May 2013 general elections.
He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s name should have been placed on Exit Control List (ECL), as the ‘Lahore High Court today dismissed Punjab government’s appeal’.
“Shahbaz Sharif, what is it that you have gone on a trip to China to do? You should have been behind bars,” he said, a case of murder would be lodged against the CM Punjab.
Earlier in the day, the LHC upheld the orders to register cases against 21 individuals including Prime Minister, Chief Minister Punjab and federal ministers in connection with the Model Town tragedy.
Imran Khan once again opened the guns of his verbal invective on Geo TV, implicating it in the alleged rigging of the last year’s elections without producing any evidence to prove his claims.
