Woman injured in acid throwing incident

FAISALABAD: A woman in Faisalabad got injured when an unknown man threw acid on her and escaped from the scene, Geo News reported Wednesday.

According to police, a woman named Rukhsana, resident of Sadhu Pura area, was partially burnt when an unknown man splashed acid on her while she was busy in routine chores in her house. She received burn injuries on her face and back while her eyesight was also affected. He children remained safe from the incident.

Rukhsana told that her husband Shahid works in a factory and the incident took place when he had left for work.

Rukhsana was admitted in Allied Hospital where her treatment is underway.
