LAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa Tuesday said that nation had given immunity to President and writing to the Swiss government would be tantamount to insulting the parliament, armed forces, and the nation of Pakistan.

He was talking to media after condoling with the Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch on the demise of his mother.

Toa question, He said, he feared CM Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, might not suffer a brain hemorrhage while criticizing the President of Pakistan.

He condemned Shahbaz for using unparliamentary language against President Zardari, adding CM Punjab should respect the President, as it was his moral and constitutional responsibility.

He said that the protégés’ of one dictator managed to run away and that too after making agreements with another. It was so ironical that those who attacked the courts were now lecturing us to respect judiciary, he added.

He also praised Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and termed her an international figure. He said if Mian Nawaz Sharif was in politics, it was due to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
