KARACHI: Easing rates of wheat have led to a reduction in the price of flour by Rs1/kilogram in Karachi, Geo News reported.

According to flourmills sources, the price of wheat in the open market after this season’s harvest fell down to Rs2550/100kg from Rs2700, which trickled down to the end consumer.

Moreover, following the imposition of Section 144 by the Sindh Food Department related to inter-district wheat movement in Sindh, traders fear an extreme shortage of the commodity in the coming days ahead, which may also result in a crisis-like situation regarding flour availability in the metropolis.
