Karachi airport runway reopened after eight hours

KARACHI: The runway of Jinnah International Airport has been reopened for all flights after 8-hour closure, Geo News reported.

The runway was closed when a Islamabad-Karachi fight developed a fault while making a landing here at Jinnah International Airport.

According to reports, Boeing 737-400 of Shaheen Air caused a loud bursting sound as it touched the ground for landing at Karachi Airport after which the plane also tilted towards left.

After the incident, one of the runways of the airport had to be closed for operations and meanwhile the flights used an alternative runway.
