LAHORE: Punjab Governor, Sardar Latif Khosa on Thursday said the Prime Minister who restored the judiciary and democracy and in whose rule there was no political detainee was punished today, Geo News reported.

Addressing a passing out parade of DMG officers here, Khosa said: "Today is also an important day for the government and 200 million population because an elected Prime Minister was convicted today."

He said today's day held special significance for you as it marks completion of your training and assumption of your professional responsibilities.

The Punjab Governor said it was in the incumbent PM's rule that the 18th amendment of the Constitution was unanimously passed by the Parliament.
