Spot fixing: Salman Butt likely to be set free today

KARACHI: Pakistan cricket team’s former captain Salman Butt is likely to be released today from London jail, Geo News reported.

Zulfiqar Butt, the father of Salman Butt told that Salman was being released and deported to Pakistan for his good behaviour during the imprisonment.

It may be recalled that Salman Butt was sentenced two and a half years of imprisonment in November, 2011 by the Southwark Crown Court.

But, his father Zulfiqar Butt told Geo News that his release from the jail would be confirmed by tonight (Thursday). Salman Butt would be in Pakistan in the next three/four days.

Salman Butt’s father further said that he was being set free for his good behaviour.
