LAHORE: The government of Punjab has decided to set up camps at all government hospitals to provide swift and timely medical facilities to the surging number of patients, Geo News reported Tuesday.
According to the spokesman of health department, the decision to set up camps at hospitals was taken in the backdrop of young doctors’ strike that has caused immense trouble to the already disturbed patients all over Punjab.
The spokesman further told that 125 fresh doctors have taken charge at teaching hospitals of Lahore while Pakistan Army doctors and specialists are providing treatment to patients at the OPDs and emergency wards of all hospitals.
The recruitment process has been accelerated and the management will soon overcome the shortage of doctors.
