Karachi: Action to be taken against extortionists and target killers

KARACHI: Action will be taken against extortionists and target killers in the metropolis.

This decision was taken during a meeting between Interior adviser Rehman Malik and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah in which the security situation in Karachi was discussed.

The provincial chief minister said that 25,000 to 30,000 police officers were not adequate for the city and an additional 10,000 policemen would soon be deployed.

Malik said that FIR’s would be lodged against those sending extortion notes and those giving them directions.
