LAHORE: Two robbers were killed, while two of their accomplices fled away Sunday early morning in an alleged police encounter in Defence area here, Geo News reported.

Police said that two suspects riding motorcycle were signaled to halt at the Ghazi Chowk police barrier instead they opened fire and tried to flee away towards Defence Phase V, G Block, when the police in retaliation fired back killing two robbers on the spot, while the other two managed to escape. The dead robbers were hardly 25, sported beard and wore shalwar kameez, two pistols were recovered from them, said the police.
