KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Sindh and Young Doctors Association on Friday announced to go on strike in the OPDs and Operation theatres to register their protest against an incident in which a mob beat up a surgeon and a paramedic.
PMA Karachi chapter president Dr Muhammad Idress Adhi said family members of a patient beat up Surgeon Dr Umair-ul-Islam and Operation Theater technician Muhammad Akram when the patient died due to natural causes.
PMA Sindh, Young Doctors Association and Paramedic staff held a protest session and demanded arrest of the culprits and security for the doctors and hospital workers.
