Dharki: Twin breaches near Shah Mines inundates paddy field

DHARKI: Two breaches of 23 feet and 35 feet wide occurred near Shah Mines that inundated the paddy fields, while the staff of irrigation department failed to reach the scene of incident and the villagers are trying to bridge the breaches on self help basis.

The breaches occurred at 5.00 A.M. this morning letting on rush of water that widened up to 23 and 35 feet wide washing out the paddy fields gushing towards village Chata Leghari.

Irrigation department said that the staff are on way to the scene of incident, however, the villagers over there blamed that none reached to their rescue despite information was passed on immediately after the occurrence of the breaches.
