ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Thursday ruled out the possibility of any kind of negotiations with the ruling Pakistan People's Party while consultation on caretaker government's set up 'was neither a constitutional nor political requirement'.

Talking to media men outside the Parliament House, Nisar said two names will be finalized in consultation with the opposition parties for the slot of caretaker Prime Minister.

"The gimmickry in the form of new recommendations from the People's Party on the Accountability Bill is not acceptable," he maintained, adding the PML-N and Peoples' Party did have a meeting on Tuesday but no consultations were held.

Calling Asif Zardari and consultations as two opposites, Nisar said the purpose of the government's accountability bill was to facilitate corrupt practices.

"Zardari is currently holding meetings to secure a second term in power," he claimed, adding at the same time that N-League will decide its future course in connection with having its next meeting with PPP.

He clarified that he had leveled no allegations against the media. "On the contrary, I am fighting for professional journalists," he claimed.

However, he said some journalists were being brought forward and one channel was gaining a particular focus whose evidence exists.
