Morale is high after win: Whatmore

KARACHI: Pakistan cricket coach Dave Whatmore has said that the Pakistan team has made a great start in the Super 8 stage of the T-20 World cup and this victory against S.Africa will boost the team’s confidence before the game against India.

Skipper Mohammad Hafeez was all praise for Umer Akmal and Umer Gul for their extraordinary efforts.

Tweeting after winning against S.Africa, Whatmore said that he was proud of each and every member of the team and the team has adopted the practice of never giving up. He wrote on the social networking site that Umer Gul and Saeed Ajmal were the heros of the team. He also revealed that Umer Gul was always the first to pad up during nets.

Talking about his performance with the bat, Umer Gul said during the award ceremony that Whatmore worked very hard with him and when he went to the crease Umer Akmal encouraged him and said that if he could score a 15 or 20 we could win the match.
