Security beefed up in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Strict security measures were adopted in the federal capital in the backdrop of protests against the anti-Islam film Friday, Geo News reported.

According to sources, security in and around the highly sensitive red zone area was increased and all the entry and exit routes were sealed by setting up containers on the major roads due to which traffic jam was observed at several locations.

The entire setup was arranged as a religious party has announced to hold a conference after Friday prayers.

Additional security was deployed at Diplomatic Enclave and other red zone areas and containers were placed at the entry and exit points that caused difficulties to the commuters and crammed many roads.
