PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakthunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Sunday said that government did not try to stop Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf’s (PTI) peace rally in all the secure areas, Geo News reported
Addressing a press conference here, he said due to foolproof security of the KP government no untoward incident reported in the rally.
He said taking out peaceful rallies and holding public meetings was the real essence of democracy and the KP government has always facilitated such events.
He said that ANP believed in democracy and rights of people and will support all such moves and rallies meant for establishment of peace.
The Minister rejected the impression of creating hurdles in the march.
He said PTI was fully facilitated in the areas came under jurisdiction
of provincial government.
He appreciated DI Khan and Tank police for providing foolproof security to PTI peace march.
He also appreciated the cooperation of PTI organizers in this regard.
