President Zardari to pay two-day visit to Baku from Monday

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari is paying a two-day visit to Baku‚ Azerbaijan from Monday to attend the 12th Summit of Economic Cooperation Organization.

Presidents of member countries will attend the summit to be held on Tuesday to discuss cooperation in different sectors including trade‚ energy‚ transport‚ environment and agriculture.

The ECO was set up in 1985 for developing the regional economic cooperation between Turkey‚ Iran and Pakistan. Later on‚ Afghanistan‚ Azerbaijan‚ Kazakhstan‚ Uzbekistan‚ Tajikistan and Turkmenistan became its members. (PPI)
