Power supply to most of affected areas resoted: KESC

KARACHI: Power supply to most of the affected areas has been restored after, Geo News reported.

Earlier a a sweeping electricity breakdown plunged Federal B-Area, Gulberg, Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, North Karachi, Surjani Town, and SITE areas in darkness early Sunday morning.

Soon after the breakdown, Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC)in a statement issued said that a faulty extra-high-tension line had led to this blackout.

"Power supply to parts of metropolis was suspended after the transmission line tripped owing to a sudden overload", said the statement.
