KARACHI: Unidentified men carried out two crackers attacks at two different locations that burnt a car while three passenger buses were also set on fire Friday, Geo News reported.

According to police, a vehicle caught fire in Khwaja Ajmer Nagri as unknown culprits hurled a cracker on it and fled from the scene. On the other hand, a cracker blast was also reported in a garbage container in Orangi Town. However, no casualties were reported in any incident.

Miscreants also torched two public buses in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and University Road areas. Tension has gripped those areas where these incidents took place and that is why additional security has been deployed in the affected areas.

Due to nationalists’ strike, some armed men fired in the air forcing the petrol and CNG pumps to shut at National and Super Highway.

Senior Superintendent Police Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Asim Qaimkhani claimed that police has arrested the accused involved in vandalism and disturbing the peace of the city.
