Balochistan doctors’ strike enters 49th day
QUETTA: Balochistan government has failed to negotiate with Balochistan doctors and their strike continued on 49th consecutive day at state-run and private hospitals in the province, Geo News reported Tuesday.

The strike started on 16th October after the kidnapping of eye specialist, Dr. Saeed Khan. Though, he was recovered on 28th October, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Balochistan chapter decided to continue with the strike until the government accept their demands.

Balochistan administration arrested doctors during protest, charged them and sealed their private clinics. PMA Balochistan has demanded to government to quash cases against doctors and reinstate them to their former positions.

Patients in the province are facing severe difficulties due to closure of out-patient departments and operation theatres.
