HYDERABAD: A player attacked a referee during the final hockey match of the Sindh Games here on Tuesday, Geo News reported.

During the final match between Karachi and Hyderabad, an exchange of hot words was reported between referee Ikhlaq Bukhari and player Wasim. After that the player attacked the referee and thrashed him.

The other players intervened and saved the referee. The match was stopped after the incident.

Meanwhile, players from Hyderabad and their fans stopped ‘Geo Super’ to cover the incident live. They also attacked ‘Geo Super’ team and plugged out the cables.
