ISLAMABAD: Holding onto his earlier stance, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Saturday reiterated that his party would not jump the government’s “dual nationality bill” bandwagon, Geo News reported.

“JUI-F was never in the favour of federation’s pursuit for an amendment in the constitution to secure the memberships of lawmakers holding dual nationalities. There are no two opinions about it to date”, Fazl said talking to newsmen here.

On Kalabagh dam, he said it was an unfeasible project.

“Unfortunately it is a technical issue which has now metamorphosed into a political one. Resolutions against Kalabagh dam passed three out of four provincial assemblies, which shows how unpopular the decision of building this project would be”, said he.

Fazal added that none of the provinces have changed their stance on it.

To a question, he said JUI-F would not buy any decision that in some way of the other leads to the shelving of elections.
