LAHORE: Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal played his first match since his action was cleared by the International Cricket Council.

Ajmal appeared in an Under-19 match which was played at the Pakistan Cricket Board Academy (PCB) in Lahore.

Speaking to reporters after the match, Ajmal said he will continue to play cricket with a positive attitude. “I want to be ready as soon as possible," he said.

When asked about Pakistan’s World Cup opener against India, Ajmal replied that the team should remain focused and prayed for their success.

On February 7, the ICC cleared the bowling action of Saeed Ajmal, however, PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan said that according to the rules, Ajmal cannot be included in the ICC World Cup 2015 squad.
