KARACHI: Five people including two political activists were killed while several others sustained injuries in separate incidents of violence in different parts of Karachi on Tuesday, Geo News reported.
According to details, four people sustained wounds when unidentified assailants opened fire on them in Allahwali roundabout area of New Karachi. The injured were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed hospital where two of them breathed their last. The deceased were identified as Aslam and Javed.
A man was killed when unidentified shooters sprayed bullets on a shop at Jamshaid road area of Karachi. He was identified as Nadeem, allegedly having links to a political party.
A man identified as Akash was shot down by unidentified motorcyclists in Dhobi Ghat area of Garden while an auto-rickshaw driver was also shot and killed in old city area.
