ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Saturday stressed upon the Federal Judicial Academy to play its role towards capacity building of the judicial officers, as the judiciary was in need of capable and well trained officers.

Addressing a gathering at Federal Judicial Academy, the Chief Justice said there should be a uniformity in the salaries and perks of judicial officers, office holders and staffers of lower judiciary.

Chaudhry Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said he had earned respect in the institution of judiciary, stressing that the culture for service delivery be promoted to ensure speedy dispensation of justice to people.

He also directed the Director General, Federal Judicial Academy to give wages/salaries, as high as possible, to daily wagers and contractual staff.
