Kalabagh dam never planned in Bhuttos’ govt: PPP

KARACHI: The Pakistan People Party lawmakers in Sindh Assembly said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto had never planned construction of controversial Kalabagh dam, Geo News reported.

According to a statement issued by the Sindh Information Department on Saturday, the PPP MPAs said that the PPP would defeat Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional in the next general election.

They said that those who were launching propaganda against ‘martyrs’ were actually trying to hide their ‘sins’.

The MPAs said that both Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto sacrificed their lives for the nation and always put up resistance to dictatorships.

They said that the nation was aware about Benazir Bhutto’s historical sit-in against Kalabagh dam.
