KARACHI: Shia Ulema Council announced to end their 39 hours long ‘sit-in’ against sectarian killings at the Numaish Chowrangi after successful negotiation with Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad on Sunday mid-night here, Geo News reported.
Earlier a delegation of Shia Ulema Council had called on the Sindh Governor at the Governor House and presented him their demands.
The Governor gave them a patient hearing and assured that stringent actions would be taken for ensuring the security of the Shia youths from target killing besides taking other measures to remove the apprehensions and worries of the Millat-e-Jafferia.
Following their successful talks, Shia organizations announced to end their sit-in that had started since Friday evening and directed large number of men, women and children to disperse peacefully.
