Hockey: Pakistan to take on India in Asian Champions final today

DOHA: Pakistan will face arch-rival India in the final of the second Asian Champions Trophy hockey tournament today (Thursday).

Pakistan reached the final by defeating Japan 5-2 in the last pool game, while defending champions India suffered a shock 3-5 defeat at the hands of Malaysia in their match.

Malaysia needed to beat India with a six-plus goal margin to qualify for the final.

The tournament comprised six top teams from Asia i.e. Pakistan, China, India, Oman, Malaysia and Japan.
