LHC moved against Young Doctors strike

LAHORE: A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court, seeking cancellation of licenses of young doctors for their strike despite the clear orders from the LHC and the Supreme Court, Geo News reported Friday.

Petitioner Azhar Siddique prayed the court that contempt of court proceedings be initiated against protesting doctors for defying court orders.

The petition also stated that law enforcement agencies be ordered to take measures to save lives of patients.

The court would take up the petition on January 7.
