Three injured as fire erupts in Faisalabad shopping mall

FAISALABAD: At least three people were critically injured as a result of a fire that erupted inside a shopping centre in D Ground area of the city, Geo News reported Wednesday.

Geo News correspondent said that the fire which broke out in the basement of the shopping mall due to a short circuit, engulfed a major part of the building within seconds.

Three people received severe burn injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital where their situation was said to be critical.

Rescue efforts were underway in the area as several people were trapped in the building.
