MULTAN: A teenage boy was shot dead after a clash erupted between two groups near Nawan Chowk in Multan, Geo News reported.

According to reports the clash broke out after participants of a rally demanding creation of Seraiki province tore apart Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz posters.

Enraged activists of Muslim Students Federation (MSF), an offshoot of the PML-N, tortured a participant of the protest for tearing the poster.

Following the episode, unknown assailants opened fire near the venue of the gathering, killing a passerby, a 14-year-old boy, and injuring a child.
