Intra-party election: Pervez Elahi elected PML-Q president unopposed

LAHORE: Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was elected president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q unopposed during party’s intra-party election.

Mr Elahi addressed party workers after his election and said he had carried out uplift projects while serving as Punjab chief minister. He added that the Punjab government was formed with people who had been bought off.

Chaudhry Zaheeruddin was elected unopposed General Secretary of the Q-league here on Wednesday.
