Kashmiris observe strike against Afzal Guru’s hanging

SRI NAGAR: A complete shutter down strike was observed in Jammu and Kashmir against the hanging of Afzal Guru on Friday, Geo News reported.

Educational institutions, banks and shops remained closed while traffic off the roads in the occupied valley.

Heavy contingent of police and army were deployed in different areas. The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front called the strike. So far, over 15 strikes have been observed in the occupied territory against the execution of Afzal Guru, a Kashmiri fruit vendor.
