PESHAWAR: Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (R) Tariq Pervez Khan, in his first directives soon after taking charge of his new office, has directed the high-ups of police to discourage the use of cell phones by police personals in uniform during duty.

He has also issued instruction to the concerned quarters to formulate procedure regarding the use of cell phone in police force.

He issued these instructions during two separate calls on meeting by chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Dastagir Akhtar and Inspector General Police Mohammad Akbar Khan Hoti in Peshawar
on Wednesday.

On this occasion the caretaker chief minister was apprised of the overall law and order situation and the administrative structure of the province.

The caretaker chief minister said that restoration of peace and the holding of free fair and transparent election is the province was his top priority.

Earlier, the chief minister was greeted with guard of honour by a contingent of police on his arrival at chief minister house after taking oath of this office as caretaker chief minister Principal secretary to the chief minister Waqar-ul-Hassan introduced to the chief minister his personal staff and officers of the chief minister secretariat.
