Karachi: Fire breaks out in factory

KARACHI: A major fire broke out in a factory located in SITE area of the metropolis in the wee hours of Friday.

According to the fire brigade official, eighteen fire brigades, two fire bowsers and one water snorkel are busy in extinguishing the fire while two more fire tenders have also been called in due to the high-intensity fire.

Fire fighting officials have declared the fire as third-degree inferno while its cause has not yet been ascertained.

Chief Fire Officer Ehteshamuddin said that it would take two to three more hours to get control over the fire.

All the workers present in the factory have been successfully evacuated.
