Karachi garment factory blaze doused

KARACHI: A major fire that broke out in a factory located in SITE area of the metropolis in the wee hours of Friday has been tamed by the firefighters after four hours, Geo News reported.

According to the fire brigade official, eighteen fire brigades, two fire bowsers and one water snorkel along with dozens of firefighters took part in extinguishing the fire. Fire tenders from across the city were called in due to high-intensity fire.

Fire fighting officials declared the fire as third-degree inferno while its cause has not yet been ascertained.

All the workers present in the three-storey garment factory were successfully evacuated.
