Karachi: 2 extortionists among 54 accused arrested in 24 hours

KARACHI: Police has arrested fifty-four suspects including two extortionists, eight car lifters, thirteen fugitives and a wanted from Karachi in 24 hours, Geo News reported Wednesday.

According to a Sindh police statement, police managed to arrest the above accused in an ongoing crack down on the criminal elements in Karachi east, west and south zone.

Police has also seized twelve different types of weapons from their possession.

An extortionist was arrested from New Karachi industrial area, two from Surjani town, while police also rounded up three accused from Jamshaid Quarter and Saeedabad after an encounter.
