ECP releases lists of candidates from Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

ISLAMABAD: Elections Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Sunday released lists of candidates contesting for both National and Provincial Assembly seats in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

According to details, overall 3928 candidates have qualified to contest elections for both the national and provincial legislatures.

A total of 1118 candidates will contest elections for National Assembly seats while 2810 are running for provincial Assemblies from Sindh.

From Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2296 candidates will contest the elections of National and Provincial Assemblies.

Out of them 850 are contesting elections for National Assembly while
1438 for Provincial Assembly seats.

The commission had already issued list of the candidates from Punjab, Baluchistan, Federal capital and tribal areas last day for both National and provincial assemblies' seats.

Meanwhile EC sources said the commission has finalized the draft for an ordinance to give the right of vote to the overseas Pakistanis.

Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear a case in this regard on Monday (tomorrow). (APP)
